The Leftley Sports Club (LSC) held its Annual General Meeting today, 14 December 2025, marking a significant moment in the club’s history as Aktar Ahmed was officially appointed the new chairperson.
Aktar succeeds Muhammad Ali, who has led the club for the past seven years, overseeing a period of growth and community engagement. In his first remarks as chair, Aktar expressed both gratitude and optimism for the future:
“I am delighted to be chosen as the new chair. I would like to thank Muhammad Ali bhai for his hard work in leading LSC for the last 7 years. Today we are in a great place and I hope to bring even more activities/events to the community.”
Members at the AGM welcomed the announcement, highlighting the club’s strong foundations and looking forward to fresh initiatives under Aktar's leadership. With a renewed focus on expanding events and activities, LSC aims to continue strengthening its role as a hub for local sports and community spirit.
